Vidas Athletic Complex serves as the primary outdoor athletics facility for Drexel University, located at 4300 Powelton Avenue in Philadelphia. It is a hub for outdoor varsity sports, intramurals, club athletes, and student recreation.
At the heart of the complex is Vidas Field, a fully renovated synthetic-turf stadium that hosts Drexel’s Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Lacrosse programs. Originally built in 1963, Vidas includes permanent soccer goals, full-size markings, bleachers along the east sideline, stadium lighting, and a press box for game operations and broadcasts.
The complex is anchored by a Friel Fieldhouse that includes locker rooms, athletic training facilities, equipment rooms, and coaching offices. Gameday experiences are enhanced by amenities such as the Kopp Lounge & Patio, which features grilling stations and spaces for team or alumni events. Public restrooms and water fountains are located near the main entrance, and parking is free and available on-site.
